About Jess
Jess Goins, LAC, is a compassionate, trauma-informed therapist who works with children, teens, and adults navigating OCD, anxiety, trauma, and life's challenges. She integrates evidence-based approaches, including ERP, CBT and ACT to treat OCD and anxiety. Jess believes in creating a welcoming, collaborative environment where every client feels understood and supported.
Jess earned her Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Indianapolis and her undergraduate degree in Public Affairs from Indiana University Bloomington. She has completed training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Psychological First Aid.
Her professional experience includes individual counseling with children, adolescents, and adults in private practice, where she also incorporated neurofeedback protocols to support emotional regulation and nervous system functioning. During her clinical internship at Butler University's Counseling and Consultation Services, she worked with college students navigating mental health concerns. At Outreach, Inc., she provided crisis intervention and trauma-informed support to young adults experiencing housing instability.
Jess has presented at the Indiana Counseling Association Conference on the mind-body connection in counseling. She brings curiosity, compassion, and collaboration to understanding how emotional experiences and physical responses connect, while tailoring treatment to each person's needs.
