Find Relief from OCD

OCD can feel exhausting and consuming. Evidence-based treatment can help you develop a different relationship with intrusive thoughts, uncertainty, and compulsions.

You don’t have to spend your days trying to achieve absolute certainty or feeling trapped in repetitive cycles. Our approach focuses on helping you understand OCD and build practical skills for responding differently.

Confidential Compassionate Evidence-Based Care

Arizona desert landscape

If OCD is taking up too much of your life, there is a path forward.

OCD isn’t always obvious from the outside. Intrusive thoughts, checking, reassurance seeking, mental reviewing, avoidance, and rituals can consume significant time and energy. Treatment focuses on helping you respond to these experiences in healthier, more flexible ways.

Does this sound familiar?

OCD can take many forms.

Intrusive or unwanted thoughts
Repeated checking
Contamination fears or washing rituals
Reassurance seeking
Fear of making a mistake
Mental reviewing or analyzing
Difficulty tolerating uncertainty
“Just right” feelings
Harm-related intrusive thoughts
Relationship-focused obsessions
Religious or moral scrupulosity
Avoidance of situations that trigger anxiety

OCD themes can vary widely. What matters most is the cycle between intrusive thoughts, distress, and the strategies used to obtain certainty or relief.

Evidence-Based OCD Treatment

One of the most established treatments for OCD is Exposure and Response Prevention, often called ERP. ERP helps people gradually practice facing uncertainty or uncomfortable thoughts while reducing the compulsive behaviors that keep the OCD cycle going.

01

Understand the Cycle

Learn how obsessions, anxiety, avoidance, reassurance, and compulsions can reinforce one another.

02

Practice New Responses

Work at a manageable pace to develop greater tolerance for uncertainty and reduce reliance on compulsions.

03

Build Long-Term Skills

Develop tools you can continue using outside of therapy as you work toward greater flexibility and freedom.

Our practice also integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) to ensure treatment is tailored to your specific needs and goals.

OCD treatment should feel informed, collaborative, and personal.

Common Questions

What is OCD?

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is characterized by intrusive, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental acts (compulsions) performed to reduce the distress caused by the obsessions.

What is ERP therapy?

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) involves gradually confronting thoughts, images, or situations that provoke anxiety, while making a choice not to perform compulsive behaviors. Over time, this helps reduce the intensity of the anxiety.

Do I have to talk about every intrusive thought?

No. You have control over what you share and when you share it. A skilled therapist will help you work on the underlying cycle of OCD without forcing you to disclose details you are not ready to discuss.

Will therapy make me do things I don’t want to do?

ERP is collaborative. You and your therapist will create a hierarchy of exposures, and you always decide whether you are ready to take a specific step. You will never be forced to do an exposure.

How long does OCD treatment take?

Treatment length varies depending on symptoms, goals, frequency of sessions, and individual circumstances.

Do you offer online therapy?

Yes, we offer secure online telehealth sessions for clients located anywhere in Arizona.

Do you accept insurance?

Our practice operates as an out-of-network / private pay practice. We can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

What states are you licensed to work with clients in?

We are currently licensed to provide therapy to clients residing in Arizona.

How do I get started?

The first step is to schedule a free consultation. This gives us a chance to hear what you are dealing with and ensure our practice is the right fit for your needs.

You don’t have to navigate OCD alone.

If OCD is interfering with your relationships, work, routines, or ability to enjoy everyday life, reaching out can be a meaningful first step.
